F1 can be found in every aspect of a fan’s life. Their clothes, the shows they watch, and even the slang they use are laced with Formula 1. Music is a very important part of many people’s lives, including motorsports fans. So, if you consider yourself a follower of the Pinnacle of Racing, here are some F1 songs that need to be added to your playlist to gear up for the upcoming Grand Prix!
Ferrari – James Hype, Miggy Dela Rosa
I feel the name speaks for itself with this one!
Friday – Dopamine Re-edit- Riton, Nightcrawlers, Mufasa & Hypeman, Dopamine
A classic for fans of McLaren driver Lando Norris. The Brit was asked while in the car if he would do a radio check. He responded by singing the chorus of this song. “It’s Friday then it’s Saturday Sunday what?”
Smooth Operator – Single Version – Sade
Well known because of Williams driver Carlos Sainz who refers to himself as ‘The Smooth Operator’. After a good race he can be heard singing the song through his radio!
33 Max Verstappen – Carte Blanq, Maxx Power
The name gives away which 4-time world champion this song is about! It’s classic line is sung as a chant while the Dutch Red Bull driver frequently stands on the podium, “Tu tu tu tu, Max Verstappen.”
Monaco – Bad Bunny
The title suggests one of the most iconic racing circuits on the grid, Monaco. During a brief pause of singing in the song, F1 cars can be heard zooming by in the distance.
Miami – Will Smith
The Miami Grand Prix, known for being the party race of the campaign, is a classic for editors online. The most popular song used for the edits of this lively track is this upbeat 90s tune from Will Smith. “Miami the city that keeps the roof blazing”
Any song from the F1 The Movie
The movie-made version of the sport was released to theaters last year, quickly gaining popularity. I have seen it a couple times, and besides the many driver cameos, my favorite part of the movie was the soundtrack. Filled with original songs from many musical stars, this is definitely an album to listen to if you haven’t yet.
F1 The Album
Lose My Mind – Don Toliver, Doja Cat
No Room for a Saint – Dom Dolla, Nathan Nicholson
Drive – Ed Sheeran (You may have heard this one playing on the loudspeakers as the drivers douse each other with champagne on the podium!)
Just Keep Watching – Tate McRae
Messy – Rose
Don’t Let Me Drown – Burna Boy
Underdog – Roddy Ricch
Grandma Calls the Boys Bad News – RAYE
Bad As I Used to Be – Chris Stapleton
Baja California – Myke Towers
OMG! – Tiesto, Sexyy Red
All At Once – Madison Beer
D. A. N. C. E – Peggy Goy
DOUBLE C – PAWSA (My personal favorite off the album)
Attention – Mr Eazi
Give Me Love – Darkoo
Gasoline – Obongjayar (Try not to dance while listening to this one, I dare you)
The album is almost a solid hour long. Every song has a totally different vibe but there isn’t a bad one on it!
I personally can’t think of a cooler way to make sure your friends and family know that you’re a F1 fan than this: You pick them up and when they get in the car, a song about Max Verstappen is playing on your Bluetooth! It just doesn’t get cooler than that!
